An electoral roll is a list of all eligible citizens who are entitled to cast their vote in an election. The electoral roll are prepared Assembly Constituency wise. An electoral roll for any Assembly Constituency is sub-divided into parts corresponding with the polling booths. Normally one part will correspond one polling booth.

Even after the final publication of electoral rolls the process of continuous updation of electoral rolls goes on and the citizens are free to file any application with the Electoral Registration Officer for addition, deletion, modification and transposition. As per the law, your name can be registered upto the last date of filing of nominations by candidates that has been notified by the Election Commission for any general election or bye-election to an Assembly or Parliament.

Revision of electoral rolls are done every year during a specified period when eligible persons are given an opportunity to register themselves by applying in Form-6 before the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO) at Polling Station (Booth) location or in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Sub-Collector/AERO or through online. During the non-revision period, a person can apply for inclusion of his name in the office of the concerned ERO-cum-Sub-Collector or through online

A person can not be enrolled as a voter in more than one place in the same Constituency or in more than one Constituency as it is an punishable offence under Section-31 of R.P.Act, 1950. The elector can keep his name in one place of his choice where he ordinarily resides and should delete his names from other places by submitting Form-7 before the BLO/ERO/AERO.

Electoral Roll is available with BLO/ERO/AERO. One can find his / her details from the above places. Electoral Rolls is also available in official website- www.ceomanipur.nic.in and one can also find his details through “search your name in the voter list” facilities available in the above website.

An eligible person can apply online for inclusion, deletion, correction and transposition of names and other details in electoral roll throughout the year. “Apply online” facilities are available in www.nvsp.in website.

  • Age proof
  • Proof of citizenship (copy of EPIC of Parents or Birth Certificate or Passport)
  • Proof of ordinary Residence.

  • An Indian citizen absent from his place of ordinary residence in India due to employment, education or otherwise.
  • Has neither included his name in electoral roll nor has acquired citizenship of any other Country.
